Bearing One Anothers Burdens

I went home to STG this weekend for purely one reason... my dear friend Glenn Rowley's farewell.
He is going to Edmonton (sp?) Canada. I thought they gave Glenn the perfect topic "Bearing One Another's Burdens." I have NEVER thought of this but Glenn Rowley is truly the only person that grasps this concept. He would drop anything for anyone to help them. He has 50 best friends and knows every detail about their little lives. If I have ever been hurt Glenn volunteers his mafia to take care of the person. Glenn and I have had countless dance parties in his car and out of his car. Glenn knows just how to get me "mormon high." In High School Glenn took me to Cold Stone after every boy broke up with me, every Valentines I spent with out a date, and after every stressful day. Glenn and I coined the phrase "how big is the triple." Glenn literally drops his own burdens to lift the burdens of his friends. And I never realized it until Sunday.
Glenn brought The Six together. Maybe he just did it so he could get Six letters every week on the mish. But we are forever grateful for him. This will be the cover of Glenn's sitcom. From Musical Theater, to science, to Madrigals, to missionary work , to being everyone's best friend Glenn has every talent. Even being mean. I met Glenn when he ran against me for Sophomore Class President in the 9th grade. He literally hated my guts. He sat under the tree when he first moved from Nevada in his Carson letterman jacket and plotted how he was going to kill me and Derek Owen. I don't know when the change happened but I sure am grateful the mafia didn't come after me.
Glenn and I performed together so many times in high school I can't even count them all. From Mads trips where we would get Mrs Snow to nearly pee her pants to pretending to countless hours waiting for our two minutes of glory on Saxton's stage - Glenn made it fun for us all.And last but not least Glenn makes us laugh. One night me Taylor, Chelsea, and Glen had an awake over. Only Glenn didn't last on the awake part. I literally laughed so hard at this I was snorting. This is not the only time Glenn brings tears of laughter - it is nearly everyday. This is merely the least funny picture I could put on with out Glenn killing me.Glenn is going to be a fantastic missionary. He is going to touch the people in so many ways. Glenn we will refuse to miss you. We will simply be proud of what you are doing! And Yes I will write you every week along with your 50 other best girlfriends. Love ya Glenners. As Glenn would say "The Rest Is Still Unwritten."

So many memories going through my head and heart as a mom. I love your friends Karly! It has been such a joy to be on the sidelines watching all of you in the various activities. Your last picture of Glen on this post is hilarious! Haven't seen this one before! Thanks for being my cry buddy during Glen's farewell. His talk really touched me and I KNOW that Elder Rowley will be an amazing missionary. You hit it with realizing Glen is the perfect example of what it means to be a best friend. GO GLEN!
