Thanks Mom!

My Grandma Staples used to make us Caramel Apples every Halloween. We would dress up in our costumes and go over for our first Halloween Treat. My Mom has carried on the tradition... only no one lives by her. This year she made 36 apples and mailed them to Provo, Pleasant Grove, Salt Lake, Texas (x2), Arizona, and Colorado.
From m&m's to white chocolate cinnamon sugar my mom makes delicious gourmet apples.
She made one for all my roomies, Jordan, Takael, and Kourtney. She is the best!
Thanks Mom.

See You in 2

Glenn is officially in the MTC. I got to have lunch with Elder G. and his family for one last time. We had to take the traditional cheesy missionary photos - just to mock everyone else.I am going to be updating his blog for his Mom with his letters so if any of you are interested - keep following the blog.

See you in 2 Elder G.

Monster Bash

Mary and I through a "Monster Bash" for our friends and family. And it sure was screamin'The "scariest costume" award went to Mary. And me - Raggedy Ann

Mary's adorable house... there is a story behind all of these pumpkins.About a week ago as Mary and I were in our final stages of party planning we ran to wal-mart. On our way out Mary spotted this truck - that sign says FREE PUMPKINS. Of course Mary was screaming at me to turn around. As I did there was a van who had stopped to collect some pumpkins - in the wrong lane - going the wrong direction. She kind of got pinned in. Of course the P.G. Police were all over that. As the lady happily pulled out with her pumpkins red and blue lights flashed and she was pulled over. Mary and I saw the perfect time slot. As long as she occupied the not so halloween spirited cop - we could get pumpkins. So Mary and I were trucking it with arms full of pumpkins and made it out just before the cop could catch us.
Halloween Treats included... Spider Cider, Broomsticks, Ghosts, 3 Halloween soups, eyeballs...etc. etc.All my girl friends...
Takael, Hilary, Elise, Me, Cate, Suz, Kourtney, Calli, Kourtneys little sister Kelsey.
aka
Facebook, pretty girl, Raggedy Ann, Hippie, Witch, and the other 3 pretty girls.
The Staples siblings... someone please draw an L on my forehead. (Or an S for that matter)
Harry.
The Dudley Sisters and their new additions

And the girls... Best party of the century.

Happy Birthday Post!

Happy Birthday to my Dad! I have been a Daddy's girl FOREVER... Always have been... Always will be. Love you Daddy. My #1 Fan
Trying to make me outdoorsy

Although you would never guess it around the family he is the life of the party.
And a big Happy Birthday to my Grandma. She is 85 and still drives faster than me, walks faster than me, stays up later than me, and can eat more concretes than me. She is an amazing lady I tell ya. LOVE YOU GRANDMA!
Things I love about my Grandma...
Her Hands
The way she rubs my back and I don't want her to stop
The way she tells she adores Jordan
Her little oven toaster thing
Her homemade wheat bread (bought from the store)
The way she is not like any other Grandma - she is fun and spunky!
Her Vanilla BEAN ice Cream
The way she would cure any sickness with peppermint herbal tea
Memories of homegrown tomatoes with salt
The fact that I spent the weekend with her when I got my first kiss
I remember her asking - was he a good kisser?
I thought - can Grandma's ask that?
Then she told me my Grandpa was a good kisser - I thought this was sick.
The way she could call me and tell me to come home when it was about to rain.
Her high school sweetheart love story with my Grandpa
The way she makes my Dad play the piano
The way she bosses around my Mom - like my Mom bosses around me
The way she brings articles to our house for us to read
The way she is more stylish than I am
The way she tells me to stop loosing weight
The way she loves EVERYONE no matter what!
The way she loves Vegas shopping days with the girls
The way she is a Michigan Driver
I actually just love EVERYTHING about my Grandma
Especially that I know she reads my blog!

Bearing One Anothers Burdens

I went home to STG this weekend for purely one reason... my dear friend Glenn Rowley's farewell.
He is going to Edmonton (sp?) Canada. I thought they gave Glenn the perfect topic "Bearing One Another's Burdens." I have NEVER thought of this but Glenn Rowley is truly the only person that grasps this concept. He would drop anything for anyone to help them. He has 50 best friends and knows every detail about their little lives. If I have ever been hurt Glenn volunteers his mafia to take care of the person. Glenn and I have had countless dance parties in his car and out of his car. Glenn knows just how to get me "mormon high." In High School Glenn took me to Cold Stone after every boy broke up with me, every Valentines I spent with out a date, and after every stressful day. Glenn and I coined the phrase "how big is the triple." Glenn literally drops his own burdens to lift the burdens of his friends. And I never realized it until Sunday.
Glenn brought The Six together. Maybe he just did it so he could get Six letters every week on the mish. But we are forever grateful for him. This will be the cover of Glenn's sitcom. From Musical Theater, to science, to Madrigals, to missionary work , to being everyone's best friend Glenn has every talent. Even being mean. I met Glenn when he ran against me for Sophomore Class President in the 9th grade. He literally hated my guts. He sat under the tree when he first moved from Nevada in his Carson letterman jacket and plotted how he was going to kill me and Derek Owen. I don't know when the change happened but I sure am grateful the mafia didn't come after me.
Glenn and I performed together so many times in high school I can't even count them all. From Mads trips where we would get Mrs Snow to nearly pee her pants to pretending to countless hours waiting for our two minutes of glory on Saxton's stage - Glenn made it fun for us all.And last but not least Glenn makes us laugh. One night me Taylor, Chelsea, and Glen had an awake over. Only Glenn didn't last on the awake part. I literally laughed so hard at this I was snorting. This is not the only time Glenn brings tears of laughter - it is nearly everyday. This is merely the least funny picture I could put on with out Glenn killing me.Glenn is going to be a fantastic missionary. He is going to touch the people in so many ways. Glenn we will refuse to miss you. We will simply be proud of what you are doing! And Yes I will write you every week along with your 50 other best girlfriends. Love ya Glenners. As Glenn would say "The Rest Is Still Unwritten."
