I watched this little video from one of my mentor/hero/friend/older sisters bff's blog.
She got to meet her.
So jealous.

I have ALWAYS adored you.
No lie.
But now I adore you even more.

And just simply darling.
Mostly I love that you have rocked every hair style and gives me a little more confidence to rock my current style.
(Which by the way I have been liking more and more...

Rooster.

I've always been an animal lover.
And a morning hater.
I can't watch any movie where an animal dies.
And I can't wake up before 8.
It is just bad news bears.
But lately I have been having some harsh feelings towards one particular animal.
Someone in our "neighborhood" has a rooster.
How is that possible in Provo?
We are not sure.
But around 6 am this thing is up and yacking...
It's worse than Ann in the morning
(sorry Mom)
We can't find it anywhere.
We don't know where it's coming from.

Dear Rooster Owner,
Please take your rooster somewhere else.
Maybe where people go to bed before 1 am.
And maybe where people wake up before 10 am.
Please take it away before I think about hurting an animal.

Cookies 'n' Milk

In honor of the birthday boy we had a little
cookies 'n' milk
party.
We were both super busy on his actual birthday so we had it the night before.

Around 9:30 I started to get pretty nervous.
No one was showing up.
We were resorting to our typical roomie dance party.
I don't know why I was worried.
James has more friends than anyone I know.
Probably because he is a Lanai veteran.




Kelsey and her darling new boyfriend Austin.
Aren't they the cutest?
Austin has been trying to pass the "family" interview process.
By family I mean our little p-town fam we've got going on.
We think he may pass the test.

I hope your "girlfriend" (your organic chem book) served you well.

We made a pazooki with 24 candles in it for James.
I thought I had snapped more pics of James' friend at the party...
there were about a billion there!
At least I got one of Nate!

We seem to have been throwing a lot of parties lately.
My favorite part of the night is the after party.
Our close friends always stick around...
change into some pj's...
and just laugh and talk.
When I took this picture I couldn't help but think..
how extremely blessed I am to have all of these people in my life.


The next morning I woke up bright and early.
Grabbed some bagels at Einsteins...
and headed to James' apartment.
His roomies had brought 5 squirt guns...
1 for each of them - and 1 for me.
We were going to wake James up with them...
but decided we would be nice and just wake him up with our beautiful singing voices instead.
Needless to say it was a great morning.
James has the greatest roommates and friends.
Truly.
I have loved getting to know all of them.
After the big wake up I was too excited about the day that I just couldn't face going to school.
Mostly I was exhausted!
Ok... mostly the weather was just too amazing to pass up.
Spring sure is coming and it makes going to school SO difficult.
In a very very out of character move James and I both decided to be typical college kids
- just for a day -
and not go to class.
Shh.
Instead, we hiked the Y.
Man I forgot how hard that hike is!
I was an absolutely incredible day.
There was still a little bit of snow left on the ground...
it was a perfect way to start off the day - and the spring season!
James basically had to wait for me the whole time.
At the end he suggested we sprint to the top.
I "wanted to take a picture"
AKA - I was DEAD.
James and I love to go on little adventures to add to our collection.
He sure is a trooper to put up with me.
The hike was followed up by a yummy lunch with his roomie Brandon.
And then it was off to class.
Boo.
That night we both had stuff to do... so we are officially celebrating on Friday.
But I hope it was a great day James!
Happy GOLDEN Birthday.

Kourt's Party

We threw Kourt a little birthday dinner.
I camera has been missing so I snapped a few with her camera.
I wish I would have documented it better!

We had a little bit of an issue with the oven.
Jess is very particular about her chocolate chip cookies.
She made 3 different batches because she didn't think they were tasting good.
Kelsey decided it would be a good idea to put all of the unused cookie dough on one cookie sheet.
Before you knew it we were standing in smoke.
Luckily we had some great boys come to the rescue.Happy Birthday Kourt.

HUG

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my sisters?
A few days ago we all received an email from an undisclosed sister saying she needed a Staples Sista hug.
For the last week hysterical emails have been shot back and forth between the 7 of us.
And when I say hysterical I mean on the floor laughing.

Sometimes when I tell people the age gap between me and my sisters they look at me with these crazy looks...
As if to say, "you probably aren't very close"
Ok, so I don't call my sisters EVERYDAY.
But somehow we just get each other.
I can't disclose any information from our hug emails.
It is top secret sista stuff.
Or at least it was top secret until an unidentified HUSBAND hacked into them.
(I know where you sleep unidentified brother-in-law)
But all I will say is that I love my incredible sisters.
Hugs all around!

They are 24 today.
James' favorite joke of the day.
"Yeah I am a twin. It's actually her birthday today too."

When I asked James if it was his best birthday ever he replied,
"Well kind of except (besides my mission) this is the only birthday I have spent away from Allison."
Isn't that tender.

Comms Week

We are having our first EVER comms week.
So far things have been going really well!
I made this little video to publicize the events.

I was a little worried about it but I think it turned out ok.
It is my first attempt at creating something using AVID other than a news story.

The same ones I have had for 5 years.

I lost you in Salt Lake City... In Hale Center Theater...
Flew a new key up on Skywest so Cami and I could get home.
And then you were found.

Remember when...
Kelsey and I had a little misunderstanding and I left you in the middle of the DHS Parking Lot.
And then you showed up weeks later in the front office.

Remember when...
I left you on my school desk in the MARB.
And then the BYU people were mean and made me come all the way to campus to look in the lost and found boxes...
In about 50 different buildings.
And I'd get there to find 1 set of keys... with Nissan written across the top.
Couldn't they have just told me you weren't there?

Remember when...
Some nice BYU student picked you up and returned you to the nice custodian man in the MARB?

These are only a few of the times you have made your way back to me.
It's a miracle we've made it through so much.
Thanks for always coming back.

Update.

Lar Bear did wonderfully.
Prayers were answered.
Everything went smoothly and...
We think it might be all over!
Done!
No more surgeries for now!
We are very grateful.
Especially because my Dad's words were...
"If these doctors don't get this (insert not nice word here) thing fixed this time...
I am moving to Kanosh...
Throwing out the meds...
And digging ditches like my Grandpa."
Phew.
We are glad he made it through.

P.S. My Mom is a trooper.
She endured food poisoning in the hospital while my Dad slept peacefully on pain meds.
That woman deserves a gold star.

Prayers...

My parents will head up late Monday night.
My Dad is going to endure another surgery Tuesday morning.
We are kind of back where we started.
But hopefully this will be the last one.
He will be having an ablation.

While we are sad he has to face ANOTHER surgery...
we are also kind of grateful for the ablation.
After all, this little heart electrical problem is what saved his life.
Because of this problem we learned about everything else.
Heavenly Father works in mysterious ways.

We'd sure appreciate it.

43 Days..

After MANY blessings my internship looks like it is a done deal.
Flight is booked.
Everything is {almost} paid for.
Over 30 pages of paperwork finished.
Now let the day dreaming begin.
In London one of my favorite things to do was run through the city and the park.
I can't wait to run through the parks in NYC.

Saw this show in London.
Can hardly wait to see it again.
I can't believe I haven't seen this show yet.
Super excited.
Don't know anything about this show.
All I know is it has my girl Kristin - and that's all I need to know.
At a mere 4'11 - this girl inspires all of us fun sized people!
I hear its a bit racy...
But won a bunch of awards.
Don't know if I can handle it.
Do any of you know?
This looks INCREDIBLE!
Although I haven't heard about many of these shows - I want to see them all.
The Tony's are just 3 days before I leave the city.
I am praying I can get it!
Oh yeah and working for NBC from the hours of 7- who knows when.
Forgot about the working part.
But also SUPER excited for the working part.

I learned that I can have visitors sleep on a portable bed in my room...

So here is a little post about my best friend Kourtney.

1. Kourtney Lynn Welte was born in Las Vegas Nevada.
2. She has 2 sisters who are absoultely gorgeous.
3. The Welte girls are known for their beauty and talent.
4. She has beautiful hair.
5. She grew up living next to all of her aunts and cousins.
6. She has always loved traveling.
7. She held a boys hand and cried... just like me.
8. She is a singer.
9. And a dancer.
10. She was in the play Charlie Brown.
11. Her laugh is contagious.
12. She took voice lessons from Jeffrey Skouson.
13. She loves designer jeans.
14. And great jewelry.
15. She has never seen a rated r movie.
16. She never drinks caffeine.
17. She has been caught saying, "I don't have time to date"
18. But that has gone out the window.
19. She always has a to do list a mile long.
20. When she doesn't want to get ready she says, "I am just going to wear a dirty pony and tee"
21. But then gets ready anyway.
22. She hates wire hangers.
23. Her closet is color coded.
24. She shares a room with her best friend.
25. And her other best friend is too far away...just three steps down the hall.
26. She is very dedicated to the gospel.
27. She is an incredible speaker and presenter.
28. She dresses up for every presentation and ALWAYS goes all out.
29. She wouldn't be caught dead with chipped nail polish on her toes.
30. She is incredible at doing hair and nails.
31. She secretly wishes she would have went to hair school.
32. or majored in math.
33. or home and family living.

38. She wants to do everything... if you haven't caught on to that yet.
39. And she is capable of doing everything.

42. Her Mom and sisters are her best friends.
43. She is a great daugther.
44. Her Dad sends her the BEST texts.
45. She's got a rockin bod.
46. She loves to watch wedding videos...with me and Jess.
47. She is obsessed with weddings.
48. She has helped all of her friends plan their weddings.
49. She has been to like a million concerts.
50. She once painted her math teachers wall.
51. And almost didn't graduate because of it.
52. It is the most rebellious thing she has ever done.
53. She loves a good movie.
54. But rarely stays awake for the whole thing.

55. She is late. To everything.
56. She drives faster than any person I know.
57. We rarely let her drive because we are so scared.
58. She was valedictorian.
59. She came to BYU on full scholarship.
60. And still is.
61. She is taking the LSAT prep class and will apply for law school next year.
62. She was head cheerleader.
63. And on student council all through high school.
64. She has been on two study abroads.
65. And met two of her best friends on these trips.
66. She is going to NYC this summer and will intern with FOX.
67. She has to have 8 hours of sleep at night or she is not fun.
68. She and I met in London.
69. This pic was our first day together. We were instant friends because the airline lost my bag for a few days. She shared her sweats with me.
70. We are totally twins at heart - same person FOR SURE.
71. For two months we slept on this bunk bed. Kourt on top... me on bottom.
72. We slept 4 hour a night - MAX

72. Still to this day our Professors say Kourtney and I would have one hour and we would... see the best show in town, find the best clothes, eat the best food, finish our hw assignment, and make it back just in time for dinner. (of course this is a slight exaggeration)


73. She is a broadcast major.
74. But refuses to cut her hair.
75. She mourns the loss of my hair with me daily.
76. She once treked all the way across London to find A.A. Milne's house with me.


77. We were once in England, France and Belgium... all in one day.
78. We once ate like 5 of these in one day:
79. We want to cover the London olympics in 2012 together because we watched the 2010 Olympics together in London from Leicester Square.
80. She is doing a documentary in Belize this summer.


81. She is not afraid to touch any bug, fish, snake, ANYTHING.
82. She loves the beach.
83. But hates swimsuits.
84. She LOVES girl time.
85. She gets along with just about any personality.
86. She has taught everyone what the best mascara is.
87. She doesn't do dressing rooms. It is strictly trying on clothes in the middle of the store.
88. She is the hardest worker I know.
89. No matter where you go with Kourtney you will get the best service, park upfront for free, and it will ALL workout.
90. We once ate these... and are still wondering why.


91. She has been to pretty much every country imaginable.
92. She can loose 5 pounds in a day. I hate her sometimes.
93. She loves a good party.

94. She knows how to dance!
95. She is probably going to the President one day.
96. But she just wants to be a Mom.
97. She will for sure talk to her Mom, Jess, and me everyday for the rest of her life.
98. She was once a sexy pirate for Halloween.
99. She will drop anything and everything for her family and friends.
