Poker Night

One of my favorite things to do is throw a party!

So when James birthday rolled around I was ecstatic to throw him a party.

But James wasn't having it!

He did not want the attention.

And he is always so worried that I will get stressed.

All he wanted was to have a few good friends over -

to play some games.

So, what birthday boy wants birthday boy gets!

The festivities started Wednesday night when we got his best guy friends together.

I decided what the heck - why not just give the boys the poker night they all want!

First stop, CPK.

 

All of the boys from C1 (James old apartment) were in attendance.

And some even brought some new ladies along

which was fun to get to know them a little better.

 After a delicious dinner we came back to our apartment where the boys played fake poker for over two hours.

I made these delicious cookies from Our Best Bites.

So yummy!

 I headed upstairs to let the guys play games -

and when James came up two hours later he had a big smile on his face.

I am a big believer in husbands still having their guy time after you are married.

Ive decided if I support guys nights in all their card game, football watching glory -

rather than hating it -

it makes my life a lot easier.

It keeps James sane for sure!

It was the perfect guys guy night!
