A few weeks ago James expressed concern that I hadn't blogged about our weekly guilty pleasure.
It was like I was hiding something.
If I am going to use this as a journal - I better be honest about ALL of our activities.
I guess its time I admit it.
Once a week, we have several friends over to watch...
the Bachelor.
It's true.
My mother is so ashamed.
Every Monday several friends join us for a guilty dinner and a guilty pleasure of reality TV.
What is perhaps the most hilarious is how involved the men get.
They had nicknamed Courtney the "black widow" on the first week.
We placed "bets" on who would win.
My girls went home the first week. Seriously.
I was that bad.
James bet the black widow would go all the way.
He was that good.
We should have bet something real.
Needless to say, last night was a big night at our house.
Nothing was shocking about the finale.
The whole season was a bit of a bummer if you ask me.
I am disgusted with both the bachelor and the winner.
As Kelly Ripa put it, Lindzi is the luckiest girl in America.
The season ended with an absolute dud.
In fact, I am ashamed that I wasted 3 hours of my time watching that long drawn out finale.
Not sure if we should continue with this guilty pleasure from here on out.
But with Emily up next, you better not hold me to that.
What were your thoughts on the finale and on Emily's upcoming season?

I have to say that I indulge in the same weekly guilty pleasure (2 hours worth!) every week! Sadly, I watch it alone but as soon as I am down there, I will be joining your crew!
I was disappointed with both the girls at the end and like several that he sent him earlier. However, the show is unrealistic and he was a lam-o bachelor!
P.S. cute decor!
*Another guilty pleasure-Baskin Robins Tuesday $1 scoop. Indulge
Both of our mother's would be ashamed! :)
This show is so lame...that's why I watch it. Ha. I knew going into this season that I wouldn't like Ben. Didn't like him last season. But it's such a lame show that it's entertaining! That is why I continue to watch it. And will watch next season.
I would be surprised if there is an actual relationship that works out in marriage based from this show. But that's not really what the show is about...it's about drama, the way you edit a show, and drama!
Lisa saw Bentley, a couple of weeks ago, from Ashely's season. Now, that's a quality guy! Ha.
I love this show and always feel guilty after watching it. I watched every episode except for the finale because I too was disgusted with the both of them. I couldn't watch another hour of those two. Can't wait for Emily though!
no need to be ashamed!!! the bachelor is the best show on television! i had a big party at my house too and i love when the boys get into it! the finale was super boring and i hated the proposal, they didnt even look in love! they are both so annoying.
We LOVE the Bachelor in our house! But I'm with you...I hated the Bachelor and the 'Black Widow.' My mom and sisters all watch it too and my dad is so disgusted by it! But I'm with you! Its fun seeing how much my hubby and friend's husbands get into it too!
Guilty Pleasure over here too! Mostly just for me, the hubbs walks in and out of the room while it's on.. Pretending he hates it but secretly loving it! This season was horrible, but they deserve each other ;) I'm looking forward to next season too, Emily is a doll!
It's the drama girl, we all need the pointless drama in our lives ;)
We love the bachelor too. But this season was so boring. Ben is boring, emotionless and not attractive. and he chose an insane woman. I definitely don't think it will last since they already split up before the after the final rose because of the news.
I am excited for Emily, but my husband never liked her so it might be harder to convince him to watch the next season. I'm definitely surprised we made it through this one.
