If there is one thing I will remember about my first weeks as a Mom it is the service rendered to our little family.
I was blessed with the worlds most supportive in-laws.
A few days after my Mom left - Ann Barker came in for a week from D.C.
She was a huge help as I started to settle in to my role as a Mom.
Plus, we loved having her love on her FIRST granddaughter.
As the first Barker granddaughter - it was crucial we hit up the mall.
Nana Barker bought Annie a darling little outfit.
Can you believe that little ball?
She would NOT sit in her stroller.
So we held her all through the mall.
She loves being curled up in a ball...just like her Mama.
Ann spent many of her hours here sewing pillows for Annie's nursery.
{Which is of course now in shambles with our move - I will post pictures in the new apt}
She is an incredible seamstress and helped spruce up the place.
Boy was I grateful for her help.
She also whipped up many, many delicious meals.
After she left our place she went and stayed with Katie, Vonn and Carter for a week.
Isn't he the cutest little guy?
Her trip overlapped with Mothers Day so we all got together for the big day.
It was a wonderful way to honor Ann and to celebrate my first Mothers Day.
{Taken by Allison while Ann was in town - love that nephew of mine}
We sure did miss Ann when she left.
She was a wonderful help and I don't know how we would have done it without her.
As you can tell - Annie loves her Nana Barker already.
