After the movers left, my Mom and I hit the road to St. George.
It was a classic scene in her sedan with all of my baby gear.
Let's just say the stroller called shotgun.
Don't let this picture fool you -
Annie still abhors that carseat.
On the way home we got stuck in 2 hours of bumper to bumper traffic.
Dead stop.
It was not pretty.
First stop was Vegas for a little dental work.
It was the first time I left Annie for more than 30 minutes.
I was all jittery but my Mom had her to sleep within minutes and sent me pictures the entire time.
Then, it was on to St. George.
Since my Dad was all alone on Fathers Day
we decided it would be fun for my sister Katie to fly in and surprise him.
To top it off - my nephew Michael popped in for two days on his way home for the summer.
Annie hadn't met any of her Staples aunts nor her cousins
so I was thrilled beyond belief.
Michael was one of the first males to win Annie's heart.
Since Michael and I were basically twins
{even though he is my nephew}
this didn't surprise me.
My heart melts looking at these two cousins together.
We wore these little ones right out!
Poor Michael didn't know what he was in for -
staying in a house with two munchkins.
Lots of crying and baby talk.
Mr. Henry is not such a fan of solid foods.
Poor dude had to deal with all of us poking and prodding him to eat.
Despite the fact that he wanted nothing to do with Annie the entire trip -
he quickly decided to try to pawn his food off onto her.
Unfortunately for him -
she was not so into it either.
Check out these cute little cuzzies in their 4th of July getup from Nana.
We wanted to snap a picture of Henry holding Annie.
As you can see - it didn't go so well and Annie face planted.
Didn't even phase her.
We sure did miss James while we were there
but man oh man was it fun to be back home for a few days.
To be continued...
