The move to Charlotte was a bit sudden but so very welcomed.
However, it meant we wouldn't get through our Newport Beach bucket list.
We still have quite a few things we hope to go back and do one day.
We did manage to squeeze in a few trips to the beach and one last date night.
James isn't all that into fashion but I always beg him to tell me what his favorite outfit is.
He never really has a preference.
So for this date I convinced him to pick out a few options before he left for work that morning.
I came upstairs to find some of my oldest t-shirts on my bed.
Ya know, the ones in the back of the closet that have become real dingy over the years.
I laughed that this is what he would choose for me to wear on our "big night out."
A t-shirt.
Nonetheless, I put one on and called it good.
We had been saving a nice dinner at Bandera for a real special occasion and
we just had to indulge before we left.
Boy oh boy is that cornbread good.
We had every intention of finishing off the night with a visit to some places on our list
but when it came right down to it we just wanted to go snuggle into our little place we called home for a year.
And thats exactly what we did.
The perfect farewell date if you ask me.
