Allie is currently working on Capitol Hill in Senator Hatch's office
and gives tours of the capitol to constituents from Utah.
Who knew you can just request one of these special free tours.
Anywho, we were privileged enough to be her very first tour!
I don't think I'll ever get over the greatness of the capitol building.
James and I both got a little sentimental about being American.
Sometimes you just need a boost of good ol' American history to remind you just how fabulous this country really is.
Speaking of fabulous, I cannot believe how knowledgable Allison was.
She knew all of the secret spots with extra special stories.
And she was by far the cutest tour guide on the hill.
Then again, we may be a bit bias.
Annie slept for a good majority of the tour.
We let Allison get back to her more pressing matters
and James, Ann, Annie and I headed over to Good Stuff Eatery.
I have heard about it from just about everyone in D.C.
and of course one of my favorite bloggers.
I splurged on a burger and James could hardly believe his eyes.
{Although I wish they could be - burgers are not my thing}
{Although I wish they could be - burgers are not my thing}
And by golly it was worth every calorie.
{or at least it was in that moment}
Annie wanted in on the whole splurge.
But unfortunately she was just a wee bit too young.
Nevertheless, she loved hanging out on the hill for the day and
I am fairly certain she is already in love with the nations capitol.
