Annie :: 6 Month Appointment

Annie and I went to her six month visit last week.
We are hoping to get an early appointment next time so James can come.
I am a little behind on this little ones big half birthday moments.
But have no fear, they are coming.

Annie is still our little peanut.
Weighing in at 13 pounds and 12 ounces - putting her in the 15th percentile.
She is almost 25 inches, which makes her in the 25th percentile for height.
And the 50th percentile for head.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, is still commenting on how small she is.
It had me a bit worried that my doctor was going to suggest I supplement.
But, he said she was growing perfectly and that breast feeding was the best thing for her.
Happy day for both Mom and baby.

The second the doctor picked her up to exam her she shriveled up into a little ball and cried.
Her stranger danger is quite strong and he ended up doing the exam while I held her.
He commented that this was normal progression.
But boy am I trying to avoid it at all costs.

James and I filled out a big packet about her progression.
She was nearly off the charts for activity levels and was right on track for everything else.
The doctor commented that she is really anxious to get moving.
And I thought to myself, if only you knew.
He said she may even dip down into lower percentiles because of her extreme activity level -
but that is just fine.

We talked about baby proofing, eating solids, the gym daycare and sleeping.
She received several shots and Mom felt terrible as usual.
My goodness it is sad isn't it?

We are liking our doctor more and more
and are happy with our little ones progression.
As we say on a daily basis,
"Yay Annie!"

My two-month old boy just had his checkup, and he's just about as big as your little Annie! She's darling!
