Annie and I look forward to the weekends more than ever before. Since we don't get to see James much Monday-Friday, we try to jam as much into Saturday and Sunday as possible. This includes all of the "firsts."I want James to be a part of the big milestones and first time moments so we save all of those for the weekends. On Saturday, I picked James up from a work function and we headed to a farmers market - only to learn it had already closed. I was a bit bummed so James suggested we visit the park and give the swings a try. Annie was in the perfect mood, so we headed straight to Latta Park in Dilworth. We put her in the swing and although she could sit up by herself - the swing was a bit big for any motion. We emptied everything out of the diaper bag to give her support and gave her a few gentle nudges. She loved it! Her latest expression is crinkling her nose while kind of laughing. These pictures capture it perfectly. What a crack up!
Don't worry - no underdogs just yet for this little one. In fact, there was an adorable 18-month-old on the swing next to us and her parents were reminiscing about the first swing moment in their little ones life. Now, she was flying high on that swing. It was a reminder that Annie will grow up in the blink of an eye. We aren't ashamed to look like the obsessive first time parents. You'd think Annie was graduating from high school with how many pictures we took of her on the swing set. But we want to raise her with our eyes wide open so we don't miss a single beat. Obviously her very first swing ride was no exception. If you need us, we will be at the park!

Annie is such a doll! Love these pictures!
This looks like so much fun! She makes the best faces:)
If Noah had an "I'm a Mormon profile" it would say, hi I'm Noah, I'm a veracious-swing-setter and I'm a Mormon". Seriously, who knew reliving a push on the swings could bring a mom so much joy??! I didn't :)
